Check, check, is this thing on?
Back to life, back to reality. Not that the past two weeks weren’t very much real life, but they seemed such a blur! A week after returning to DC, I feel like I can finally get back to a little writing. But I’m going to start of slow and take the easy way out! It’s Thanksgiving week! I LOVE LOVE this time of year for so many reasons. It has been a new adventure for the past couple years as I no longer simply pilgrim home to Vermont, but juggle the holidays with H’s family as well. So we will be headed to Dallas on Thursday to spend four days with his parents and some extended family (and we will drive up to Vermont for Christmas).
So in honor of the Thanksgiving holiday – I’m going to share with you what I am most thankful for each day this week! I know, it’s terribly obvious and you probably already know everything I am thankful for because I tend to obsess and project and share and talk a lot, but it’s easy. And important. I lead a very blessed life – I am surrounded by people who love me and encourage me everyday – including my own self. Accomplishment and a blessing I say!
(Also scroll down for some fun contests from some other fabu bloggerladies!)
On this first day of Thanksgiving Week, I am thankful for my family. Parents, brother, aunts and uncles, cousins, my grandparents, and of course H and his extended family to boot. I’m pretty lucky! Especially with my dad’s recent surgery when the thought of losing him was very real, I am reminded of how very important family is to me. It is the reason I live and breath. And even when we aren’t together, we share our love across the miles!
