He bought me five sessions with a personal trainer last night. At my $30 million gym.
Now, I don’t love H purely because he buys me stuff. OBVY. But it was a sweet treat last night. I met H after work at my gym because I wanted him to join. And wouldn’t you know, the fact that we live together brings the cost of membership down to $42 AND his enrollment was only $1 (mine was $75!). While the Gym Man took H around, I got in 50 minutes of cardio. AND LET ME TELL YOU – totally still feeling the benefits today. Why is it so hard to remember how good it feels? Anywho, I met H back down stairs and he was still talking to the Gym Man. And told me he’d signed up for 10 personal training sessions. I had an inkling, while working out, that he wouldn’t be a hard sell on that, while I had turned them down when I signed up. But right now they are at an amazing price, as far as training sessions go! $53 per 1 hour session! That’s a steal. He suggested I should do some. I mouthed “I have no money.” NOT because I wanted him to offer to pay, but simply because it’s the truth. And I figured, as my plan stated a few days ago, when I had the money, I’d do it. Closer to the wedding. But he signed me up for five. And next Monday at 7 a.m. we are going at the same time to meet our new trainers. Sweet, no?!
I also love that H is committed to getting healthy as well. I’m thrilled that he joined the gym. Now the battle is getting there in the am vs. pm. I know I prefer am workouts, but it’s so hard to get out of bed these days. Which do you prefer?
Tonight I’m wearing my Bride in Training shirt to the gym for the first time. WOOT!

Go you! I love that you’re wearing that shirt to the gym. And BRAVO to him for getting himself AND you sessions with a trainer. I need to re-start my training sessions – it’s sooo motivating having a trainer, isn’t it?
I MUCH prefer am vs. pm workouts – I find TONS of excuses to get out of after work work-outs.
